The Restricted Operator Certificate - Aeronautical (ROC-A) is legally required for operators of radio equipment on board aircraft and at aeronautical land (fixed and mobile) radio stations using aeronautical frequencies.
I am an Accredited Examiner on behalf of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) for the purposes of conducting exams for the ROC-A certification. Exams must be completed under direct supervision of an examiner and can be facilitated online (Microsoft Teams) or in person.

Tests are required to be administered in accordance with Industry Canada guidelines which include the following:
The test must take place in Canada
The test must be directly facilitated by an examiner
The applicant must attain 70% to pass
Examiners cannot issue any temporary authority and the exam must be processed by ISED to be valid
The candidate must provide valid government issued photo identification that includes the legal name and date of birth
Candidates must provide a valid Canadian mailing address
ISED makes no guarantee that a foreign government will provide a certificate exchange
